UNITED NEW GENERATION UNIVERSITY (UNGU) is Somalia’s leading independent, is Non-Profit institution of higher education in Somalia. It originated as a SOCEN organization run by the Somali youth in intellectuals in 2012-2020, and has now progressed into one of the biggest educational institutions in Somalia and established primary and secondary schools in Different regions in Somalia.
The United New Generation University- (UNGU) is unlike any other university in Somalia. Founded in 2018, dedicated to creating and supporting the next generation of corporate and community leaders.
UNGU was converted from into a university in 10 September, 2020. Since then, UNGU has grown by leaps and bounds, in terms of program offerings, faculty qualification, and student enrolment. It is the vision of the University to be a knowledge-generating institution globally recognized for excellent instruction, pioneering research, and responsive community engagement.

Learner-centered teaching methods shift the focus of activity from the teacher to the learners. These methods include: Active learning, in which students solve problems, answer questions, formulate questions of their own, discuss, explain, debate, or brainstorm during class.
